Our Values

Values come first. Without clear, shared values, we wander independently and contradict one another. Everything's harder when we all believe different things about what's important to us and our practice.

Values are the foundation and heart of our practice

  • Integrity

We strive to consistently be calm, considerate, and thoughtful in our dealings with clients and their families, other professionals, our internal team, and the world at large. We don't act out of spite, we don't rush to judgment, we don't jump to conclusions.

If we do notice our own thoughts and feelings becoming a barrier, we always respectfully hold each other accountable. Each of our clinicians are open and willing to receive feedback, both positive and constructive in nature, so they can adapt their approach in the most appropriate and ethical way to better serve their clients. If someone disagrees with us or corrects us we listen, we think, and we respond calmly and clearly - directly addressing the idea or the situation, not the personality or the pressure.

A motto we uphold in the practice is, “we can only help if we know what’s going on.” Communication is key, and we love open, honest, and respectful communication so we can move forward to continue to provide the best possible care to everyone we encounter.

  • The 3 C’s: Compassion, Curiosity, and Collective Action

Compassion, curiosity, and collective action. Striving for the right outcome requires effort and integrity and these are at our foundation. We want to ensure the community that we serve, either directly or indirectly, is served in their best interest and that we communicate all facets of the treatment process clearly and calmly to the best of our abilities, to the highest ethical standards, and with honesty and transparency.

  • Ethics

What a strange concept, right? We may make mistakes, but we own up to them. If we don’t understand something, we seek clarity. We abide by all the best practices in all the things we do – from insurance billing to client communication. The guidelines outlined in the different ethical standards is what guides us even if it is messy or muddy.

As a practice, we follow the ethical standards put out by the National Association of Social Workers. However, it is each employee's responsibility to also adhere to the ethical and professional standards outlined by their license governing body.

  • Competent and Quality Care

Therapy is more than a conversation between individuals. It’s the clinician being mindful and intentional with their words, behavior and utilized skills to ensure you are being challenged in all the appropriate ways so you can meet client goals.

At Thrive, we have high expectations of our team because we are passionate about providing quality individualized care. It starts with passionate clinicians who can have the time, resources and support to grow and learn.

Our team takes the time to focus on the client needs whether its reaching out to client’s network, learning new skills and researching resources to aid the client in the journey.
