Julia Aubrey, LMFT-A
PSYCHOTHEARPIST
Julia (she/her/her) is a licensed marriage and family therapist associate. She attended Southern Connecticut State University with her bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies and graduated in 2023 with a masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her previous internship experience includes Southern Connecticut’s clinic and LifeBridge in Bridgetport, CT.
Julia's passion to become a therapist originated in high school. It was there that she experienced moments where she experienced how guidance and love from others can have a significant impact on the hurts that weighted her down. After her experience, Julia has a profound respect for helping others and it's a privilege that she does not take lightly.
Her passion is to help others on a deeper level. She specializes in supporting women through challenges that are unique to women as well as helping others navigate through communication and intimacy issues within various types of relationships. Julia shows her clients genuine kindness and creates personalized space to help reduce the anxiety that can come with talking about vulnerable topics. Julia will show up and provide the guidance you need to allow change to occur. Her favorite part about being a therapist is witnessing various versions of life and being a part of people's growth is an indescribable feeling and fulfilling.
Her life goal that has been constant is the concept of ‘writing her story’ which looks like her allowing her to to experience and feel her life as it unfolds, build a family and connections with others while honoring herself are the hopes and dreams she goes after! For fun, Julia adores being able to spend time with her family, fur babies and friends. She is from a big family that enjoys humor, talking passionately and fiercely loving one another. In my spare time I enjoy watching shows with my fiancé and playing video games together. For relaxation, she loves reading and decorating her home to make it warm & cozy.
